{"id":976,"date":"2016-06-16T13:03:36","date_gmt":"2016-06-16T13:03:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vbbabogados.com\/?p=976"},"modified":"2021-03-17T09:06:01","modified_gmt":"2021-03-17T09:06:01","slug":"how-to-work-and-to-do-business-in-barcelona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vbbabogados.com\/en\/blog\/how-to-work-and-to-do-business-in-barcelona\/","title":{"rendered":"HOW TO WORK AND TO DO BUSINESS IN BARCELONA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Barcelona is a dynamic, innovative city with a business activity that is one of the main references in Europe and number one city in terms of quality of life for its workers.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, new laws have been approved in order to encourage entrepreneurial culture and facilitate the creation of business, reducing the time and cost to start up a new business (see <a href=\"https:\/\/vbbabogados.com\/en\/foreign-investment\/\">foreign investments<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><u>Who can start a business in Barcelona<\/u>: Foreigners are entitled to undertake a profit activity in Spain:<\/p>\n<p><strong>European Union citizens<\/strong> may set up a business in Spain without restriction it will only be needed to obtain NIE number (Foreign Identification Number) for individuals or a Tax Identification Number for legal entities.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>non-EU citizen<\/strong> who wishes to set up a company in Spain or carry out any business or professional activities must have the necessary visa and work permits.<\/p>\n<p>It must be taken also into account that certain professions in Spain are regulated, as doctors, lawyers, engineers..
